Jolla et JoikuSpot partenaire

Alors que nous attendons des nouvelles concrètes de Jolla et qu'aucune information n'est dévoilée, ni sur le terminal ni sur l'interface utilisateur, le CEO de Jolla, Jussi Hurmola, annonce dans une interview adressée au site JollaTides.com, un partenariat avec JoikuSpot...


C'est dans l'avant dernière question que l'alliance est clairement dévoilée :

Q12:  Finally, can you leak any snippets of information (be it large or small) on what we can expect with the finished Jolla handset ?We are working with Joikusoft to do groundbreaking things in local area network.

Pour information, JoikuSpot est une application permettant de transformer votre smartphone en hotspot Wi-Fi. Bien connue pour être sur les terminaux Nokia sous Symbian mais aussi intégrée par défaut sur MeeGo-Harmattan sous le nom "Wi-Fi Hotspot".

Sans être un bouleversement médiatique, cette information donne l'espoir de bons partenariats qui feront de Jolla un système d'exploitation assez abouti pour une mise sur le marché.

Aucune date n'est encore communiquée pour les annonces de Jolla, mais toujours d'après la même interview, Jussi Hurmoula déclare qu'un évènement dédié aura bien lieu :

Q4:  Were Jolla invited to the recent Nokia World 2012 event and what did you make of the event itself ?  Will Jolla hold similar events for future releases and if so do you have any immediate plans or is perhaps a CES 2013 appearance on the cards ?Jolla was not invited to the recent Nokia World 2012 event, but we are planning to hold our own events and joined relevant events – for example to launch our ecosystem, UI, product, partners etc. And we promise to have some fun with the community. We need to see about the big shows like CES and MWC – how they fit into our calendar and product schedules.
